Received an amazing haircut! Old school shop and the staff seemed to be very well versed in many different hair types. My hair is always hard to manage, and I’ve had no issues since. Cash only though.

Been going here for close to 10 years. Yes there are different barbers with some inconsistencies however and overall I would still give 5 stars as they do a good job and are always available. Tried several in the area and would always go back to get my haircut

Great little barber shop that dosnt look like much from the outside. Staff was friendly and everything was reasonably priced. They are a cash only shop so be ready for that. I got a cut, beard trim and shave for 40. Worth it.

Location

Welcome to the Princeton Barber Shop, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Princeton, NJ. Located at 8 S Tulane St, this barber shop stands out not just for its prime location but for the quality of service it provides. As a food reviewer venturing slightly off the culinary path, I'm keen to spotlight an establishment that delivers style with the same fervor that great restaurants serve delightful dishes.

Upon stepping inside, you'll notice the classic, no-frills atmosphere that encourages genuine conversation between barbers and clients. This old-school shop has a charm reminiscent of a bygone era. The barbers are not only skilled but deeply committed to tailoring each haircut to suit individual styles. Take, for example, the experience shared by Gavin Lands who praised the tall, curly-haired barber for his thoroughness and personal approach, ensuring that every hairstyle is a perfect fit. Such testimonials highlight the importance of personal investment in the craft, much like a chef who pours their heart into each dish.

Customer reviews paint a picture of a team that is well-versed in managing a variety of hair types. Jacob Zirkin's experience emphasizes the competence of the staff, adding valuable reassurance for those with challenging hair. Eli Shamiyeh, a loyal patron for nearly a decade, underscores the reliability of the shop, noting that while there may be some variations in service, the overall quality and attitude of the barbers keep him coming back. This kind of loyalty mirrors that of a regular at a beloved restaurant, who knows that consistently good service and flavorful experiences await.

The affordability of services at Princeton Barber Shop is another highlight. Omer Rana's review mentions receiving a cut, beard trim, and shave for just $40—a bargain that echoes the culinary world where good food meets affordability without compromising quality. This cash-only establishment encourages patrons to keep it simple, yet the service is anything but. Each customer leaves feeling refreshed and satisfied, reminiscent of the feeling one gets after a satisfying meal.

For anyone seeking a haircut that feels like an experience, Princeton Barber Shop merits a visit. Whether you're new to the area or a local searching for a trusted barber, the shop's dedication to personal service will likely leave you with a new hairstyle and perhaps, like Nicholas Mele, a favorite barber to return to time and again. Trust in their ability to deliver a look that complements you perfectly, just as a well-prepared dish complements the diner’s palate.
